Forestry Talk - Forestry: adaption to unavoidable climate change
Michael Battaglia
Senior Principal Research Officer
CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems
If our climate were to change in the ways that the consensus of scientific opinion now sees as inevitable, what will be the impact on the provision of products and ecosystem services from our forests?
This talk takes current forecasts from global circulation models and looks at their implications for Tasmania’s forests, exploring areas of uncertainty in forest response, and looks at what adaptation to change may be possible.
Where: Exhibition Hall, 79 Melville St Hobart (Forestry Tasmania Head Office)
When: 20th August
Time: 1 pm (approx 30 minute presentation with a short time following for questions)
Bookings are advisable, phone 6233 8219 (click here) to reserve a seat.
